Hi all,

Thanks for all the well wishes and support. Particularly Tim, for the words of wisdom and confidence before the final day, (glad I didn't read it until I got home some days later). Sorry you couldn't be there to hand over the "ashes" but it's great to have the Cup in Aus. I can assure you that the rum flowed as freely as the Derwent River.

Congrats to Nick Darlow ( the crew who will win you the worlds) and to the 100 + competitors who made it the biggest B14 Worlds ever.

Special thanks to Fish and Katrina for a monumental effort on the event organization.

Time to reflect and get sorted for the next one.

Congrats bangers,
bout time an aussie boat take it, and a well deserved win...much learnt from you, a good asset to the class.
Commendable regatta, one of the best, if not the best ive attended. Thanks to all those involved.
See you all in Belmont for the Nationals.

so are those of us unlucky enough/broke enough to NOT go to hobart going to get to see some pictures/video so we can point and laugh - yes i'm mainly talking about the off water antics. But also to see what we missed so we can make sure we go to the next worlds in Europe :lol:

Did pukey pete live up to his nick name?
Was the bugger the bone party as legendary as always? (should i even bother asking?!)
What pubs/clubs are B14 sailors no longer allowed into in Hobart? :shock:

Photos - there is a DVD of photos and Katrina would be the best to contact about that. There are over 2,000 photos.

Video - Bruce Woods, took professional quality footage on a couple of days (working for WIN and Fox TV the others) and is putting together a video. The plan is to produce a 15 minute everybody version and say a 30 minute sailor version.

Anyone with some extra video send it to me ASAP at:

Were we supposed to have a punch-up at the end of the Worlds or is that just a Melbourne thing???

Thanks for a great time, we're so sorry to be home in the warm now. How hard is B14 sailing these days, or am I getting on a bit?
