Alan - nice piece or work.

On the social side it might be worth noting that Sunday 11th is the World Cup Final which we expect of course to be England v Australia! Might we want worth a social event?

As a suggestion I vaguely remember watching the 94 World Cup Final at the Lark Nationals. The drinking rules were that we each took a players name and every time the commentator mentioned your player you had to drink a finger of beer. Yellow cards, goal scorers and goals let in were pints down in one. Everything was going swimmingly till extra time began to take its toll and then a penalty shoot out. My wife who was the Italian goaly let in 5 penalties in a frightening 10 minute period with inevitable consequences!

Cheers
Tim

Watched the 2006 final in a French pub- no falling over drinking involved (think we were mainly sober enough to cycle home without crashing too much). There was a resounding cheer from the locals when Zidane floored Materazzi- followed a moment later, before the red card was waved, by silent realisation of what was about to happen.
