We seem to be getting quite a lot of it lately. I'm happy to be added as a moderator & kill this stuff as soon as I see it, if that helps.

The increase seems to correlate with the recent fix to registration.

Deleting the spam as it appears would be a major effort. Maybe going the other way round would require less effort: add a hand full of "moderaters" for the sole purpose of approving posts? If volunteers for that are needed, count me in.

Until then, I would take some bacon and eggs to go with the spam.

Measures taken so far:

- All posts by newly registered users go into a moderation queue
- Q&A Captcha added to user registration
- New users are now activated by administrators, not by user e-mail
- Mike and Chris added as moderators... well volunteered gents!

Further update to ensure we have all spam possibilities covered - noticed that we were only getting spam in some of the sub-forums, revised security on those to match the spam-free (hopefully) ones...

Cool, I can now post highly inflammatory messages and then delete them
