Hey Mark,

Getting into geek mode here...what encoder/program did you use to encode those videos? They look rather heavily compressed/blocky, im sure a GoPro HD2 could look a lot sharper on youtube with the right encoding.I could lend a hand if you want to see if they can be improved.

Thanks Tom, may well give you a shout on that. Also a bit disappointed about the image quality myself too but will be meeting some oth experts in the next few days so hope to get some tips!!

No worries, let me know if you want a hand. Fairly certain that the right codec/compression settings will sort you out ignoring all the water on the lense!

The Go-Pro/s we borrowed had a large memory card and was all shot in HD - I was under the impression that YouTube automatically compresses the file...the key for that was to ensure the moisture capture strip was replaced each outing and the waterproof case cleaned and dried after every use.
